On the Bar Rescue episode “Ground Control to Major Jon,” Jon Taffer travels to Merritt Island, Florida, home of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center. He’s checking out Kings Duck Inn, which is near Cape Canaveral, and is frequented by local NASA astronauts. Kings Duck Inn was opened in the 1960s by Audrey King, hence the name. Locals call the longtime staple KDI.
While Taffer remodeled Kings Duck Inn (they kept the name) in June 2017, according to the comments left by customers on KDI’s Facebook page, other than the “space/historical look” not much has changed beyond the decor.
