Gary Edwards is the 26-year-old former school teacher who’s competing on Season 14 of The Voice. For his Blind Audition Gary sang Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Goin’ On” and joined Team Adam. He won his Battle Round — he and Angel Bonilla sang the Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston duet “When You Believe.” For the Knockout Round, Gary chose to sing Jimmy Cliff’s song about struggle “Many Rivers To Cross.” When Adam Levine declared Rayshun LaMarr the winner, Gary was stolen by Blake Shelton (who also turned around for Gary at his Blind Audition). Now for The Voice Live Playoffs, Gary is getting loose and singing Bruno Mars’ new jack swing song “Finesse.”

Just hours before his performance, Gary Edwards took to social media to dedicate his Live Playoffs performance to a young man in Detroit named Miles Porter who’s battling bone cancer. “He’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever met,” says Gary. The Voice Live Playoffs begins Monday, April 16 at 8pm on NBC.
