In the Grey’s Anatomy episode “You Really Got a Hold on Me,” while the doctors hustle to finish their projects for the Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Contest, two Seattle firefighters Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George) and Andy Herrera bring in two young boys they saved in a house fire. It was a chemistry experiment that went terribly wrong. Both are injured. The younger one is bleeding from the abdomen. The 10-year-old’s life is literally in Andy’s hands. (She put her hand in his stomach to stop the bleeding. If she moves it, he might die.)
[Check out Jaina Lee Ortiz in Rosewood]
Andy is portrayed by Jaina Lee Ortiz. She’s known for her roles on Shooter (Angela Tio), Rosewood with Morris Chestnut (Detective Annalise Villa, see photos below), and The Shop (Petrona), among others. Ortiz will reprise her role as Andy in the forthcoming drama by Stacy McKee Station 19, about the men and women of a Seattle firehouse. Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC, right before Scandal.
