Showtime at the Apollo is now a regular TV series on FOX. Emmy Award winning personality Steve Harvey returns to the legendary stage to host but this time with co-host, former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Houghton. Harvey and Houghton welcome a variety of acts on stage for the long-standing talent competition — where the audience decides who gets to come back. On the series premiere, to warm up the crowd, Pitbull and Fifth Harmony will perform their hit “Por Favor.”
Amateur performers on the first episode include singer Ericka Guitron, boy band Team Shraey Khanna, singer George Lovett, juggler Nick Pike, and kid rappers Mannish. Mannish is a trio from Atlanta, Georgia. The blond, DJ, is the oldest at 8. The other two kids are brothers, age 6. These kids aren’t just adorable but they also know how to work the crowd. Check them out singing, “Girlfriend, Where You At?” They got the Apollo crowd on their feet! Showtime at the Apollo airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX, right after Gotham.
