Hope Hicks hit the bricks, so Donald Trump has turned to a former Disney star to shore up his communications operations. Caroline Sunshine, 22, was an effervescent presence on the Disney Channel as as Tinka in the series Shake it Up that also starred Bella Thorne and Zendaya. Now Sunshine will be a White House press assistant. Shake It Up was about young dancers trying to pursue dance as a career — so if Sunshine needs to do as much fancy stepping as, say, Sean Spicer did, she’ll know how to move. Here’s Tinka in action:
White House Deputy Press Secretary Lindsay Walters told ABC News that “prior to [Sunshine’s] internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee, and the California Republican Party.”
