The judges on American Idol — Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan — get to listen to one more round of auditions before heading to Hollywood. On the March 25 episode, they get the chance to hear Lee Vasi, a gorgeous and talented 20-year-old singer from Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Lee already has a following a loyal following on social media. The day before her American Idol audition airs, she announced that her “Officially Missing You Spanglish” cover hit the 15,000 views mark. The 2004 song “Officially Missing You” is by one of Lee’s biggest inspirations, Canadian R&B artist Tamia Hill. It’s from her third album More. Check out Lee’s Spanglish version below.
