In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “The Undiscovered Country,” an infant goes missing. During the investigation the SVU finds out that the parents of the baby boy, Drew, were waiting for a court order to have a doctor humanely end Drew’s life. As his mother Maggie Householder explains to D.A. Barba (Raul Esparza) “to end his suffering.” She says, “Every day he lives, his pain gets worse.”

The mother Maggie Householder is portrayed by Abigail Hawk. She’s best known for her role as Frank Reagan’s (Tom Selleck) executive assistant Abigail Baker on Blue Bloods. Hawk is also recognized for her roles in the TV movie A Christmas in Vermont with Chevy Chase (Riley Thomas), and in the 2016 film Almost Paris (Ellie), among others. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC, right after The Blacklist and right before Chicago P.D.
