Trixie Mattel on RuPaul’s All Stars Sings Folk Music as Man [Video]
Drag queen Trixie Mattel lost twice on RuPaul’s Drag Race — but she’s back competing for the crown on RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race Season 30. Trixie Mattel is living proof that it’s not about how you do on the show, but about what you do after the show that counts. Since her last appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 7), Trixie Mattel has been touring the country with her “Ages 3 + Up!” show, and she’s launched a YouTube series called UNHhhh where Trixie Mattel and friends “puke jokes out of our mouths all over each other.” There are more than 80 episodes up.

Trixie Mattel revealed to Pride: “Before I was Trixie Mattel, I was a folk musician.” Last summer, after a breakup, Trixie Mattel says “I channeled my heartbreak into music” and made an album with “six beautiful little folk songs.” It’s call Two Birds (see link above) and it includes “Mama Don’t Make Me Put on The Dress Again,” which Trixie Mattel made a video for (see below). It also features Will & Grace actor Leslie Jordan who plays Karen Walker’s nemesis Beverly Leslie! RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race Season 3 premieres Thursday, January 25th, at 8pm on VH1.
