Chris Hindley is the inventor of the Hoodie Pillow, a travel pillow made of memory foam that’s worn around the neck. What makes it different from other travel pillows is its pull-string hoodie hat. When it came time to pitch his business on Shark Tank, Hindley asked his business partner Rebecca Rescate to come on the show with him. In Season 2 of Shark Tank, Rescate pitched her toilet training system for cats CitiKitty and made millions after teaming up with Kevin Harrington. Robert Herjavec said he didn’t want to miss out again so he offered Chris and Rebecaa $90,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity of Hoodie Pillow, and they accepted. (They were seeking $90k for 15%.)

Since Shark Tank, the HoodiePillow has expanded the collection to include Inflatable HoodiePillows ($28), Beach Towels ($14), and HoodiePillow Pals for kids (panda, owl, dog, monkey and monster) for $25. According to LinkedIn, Hindley kept his “day job” as Creative Director at ALP Supply (formerly A.L. Patterson), a manufacturer of concrete products, where he’s worked since 2009. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9pm on ABC. [27 Favorite Shark Tank Products]
