Lifetime hired an all-star cast for its holiday movie Wrapped Up In Christmas. The protagonist is mall manager Heather (Tatyana Ali, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) who finds herself in a tough spot. She needs to let go of a number of stores that are struggling in the mall. It’s a tough situation because the people running the stores are super nice including the husband and wife at the cookie store (Mindy Sterling of Austin Powers movies and Dan Lauria of The Wonder Years) and Patty McKee, aunt of Ryan (Brendan Fehr), who Heather is falling for.
Aunt Patty is portrayed by Cindy Pickett. She’s known for her roles on Age of the Living Dead (Amanda), Hyperion Bay (Marjorie Sweeney), St. Elsewhere (Dr. Carol Novino), Amerika (Amanda Bradford), Call to Glory with Craig T. Nelson (Vanessa Sarnac), and in 1986 cult classic John Hughes film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (as Ferris’ mom Katie Bueller). Fun fact: Pickett fell in love with the actor who played her husband in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Lyman Ward. They married in 1986 and divorced in 1992. Wrapped Up In Christmas premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, November 25 at 8pm.
