Fitz and the Tantrums is the pop soul band from Los Angeles known for the 2016 hit “HandClap.” Female lead singer Noelle Scaggs joined the band with male lead singer Michael Fitzpatrick in 2008. Prior to that she was the front-woman for the soul band The Rebirth. Scaggs also sang backup for The Black Eyed Peas (“Bridging the Gap”, Elephunk”, Monkey Business”), Dilated Peoples (“The Craft”), Mayer Hawthorne (“How Do You Do”), and Velvet Underground member John Cale (“Extra Playful”), among others. Fun fact about Scaggs: She was one of the backup singers for John Travolta in the 2005 film Be Cool, the sequel to Get Shorty. The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration will air on Thursday, November 30 at 9pm.
