Locker Board is a line of sustainable 17-inch skateboards that fit easily into lockers and backpacks. The young inventor of Locker Board, 11-year-old Carson Kropfl (and his mom Carrie Kropfl) pitched the business on Shark Tank in October. They ultimately accepted a $65,000 investment from guest shark Sir Richard Branson in exchange for 20 percent equity. (Locker Board also received offers from Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec.)

Since Shark Tank, Carrie Kropfl reports that Locker Board received the famous Shark Tank boost in sales and that Erik’s, a retail store chain, is selling Locker Boards in its 30 stores. Carson wrote his first article for The Virgin Group entrepreneur blog, which published on Thanksgiving Day, and “other opportunities” with Branson “and Nike are pending and will be announced in 2018.” Carrie says Carson has learned a lot from the Sustainable Lead at Nike Space Kitchen, Noah Murphy-Reinhertz. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
