CBS is airing its new animated Halloween special, Michael Jackson’s Halloween. It’s about two young people with big career aspirations. Vincent (voiced by Lucas Till, star of MacGyver) wants to be a DJ but his father wants him to take over the family grocery store. Victoria (voiced by Kiersey Clemons, Lucy on Extant) — who works for the big corporation Megacorp — dreams of pursuing her passion, dance. Victoria’s boss is Mrs. Grau. Mrs. Grau is voiced by triple-threat (she can sing, dance, and act) Christine Baranski. She’s known for her roles on the CBS hits The Big Bang Theory (Leonard’s super smart mother Beverly), The Good Wife and The Good Fight (attorney Diane Lockhart), and Cybill (Maryann Thorpe) where she drank martinis with Cybill Shepherd, among many others shows.
Baranski as usual nails the role — and it’s fun to consider as she bosses around the aspiring dancer that she herself is a professional dancer. You can see Christine Baranski next on the big screen in A Bad Moms Christmas (Baranski plays Mila Kunis‘s mother). See trailer below. Michael Jackson’s Halloween airs Friday, October 27 at 8pm on CBS. Baranski memorably played the mother of Robin Williams’ son in The Birdcage.
