On the Lethal Weapon episode “Born to Run,” Murtaugh (Damon Wayans, Sr.) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) investigate the mysterious death of a celebrity bodyguard. His boss is the famous singer Shaye.
Shaye is portrayed by real life singer JoJo. Born Joanna Levesque, the 26-year-old made her TV debut on Kids Say the Darndest Things (she sang “Respect”), and then appeared on several shows including America’s Most Talented Kids. Her debut single was “Leave (Get Out)” in 2004 (she was 13!). As an actress she’s known for her roles in the film RV (as Robin Williams’ daughter Cassie, see above), Aquamarine (with Emma Roberts), and as singer Linda Ronstadt on American Dreams.
