Michael Kern and Michael Coy are the inventors of GlowFlier. It looks like an ordinary throwing disc (Frisbee is a trademarked toy by Wham-O, btw) but when you play with it, when you catch it, the disc changes colors. There are two different light modes: Impact Mode – the GlowFlier’s color changes when it’s caught or takes a sizable impact, and Rainbow Mode – the GlowFlier constantly transitions through a rainbow of colors. The two young entrepreneurs from Clifton Park, New York are pitching their new twist on an old toy on The Toy Box on Sunday, October 29.

Less than one month ago, Kern and Coy started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 but haven’t yet met the goal. If you want to pledge money to the project, there’s still time. The campaign ends November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. The money they raise will be used to to manufacture the flying disc and to build an e-commerce website and online advertising to direct people to the site. Backers who pledge $20 will receive a Glow Flier, if the $10,000 goal is met. The Toy Box airs Sundays at 7pm on ABC.
