In the Chicago Fire episode “Devil’s Bargain,” newly installed Captain Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and his lifelong friend Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) butt heads. Both firefighters think they know the best way to save a teenager who got himself entangled in barbed wired. Casey pulls rank and makes the call. Meanwhile, firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Brett’s (Kara Killmer) childhood friend Hope (Eloise Mumford) who’s working at Firehouse 51 “come to blows over a payroll issue.” Keep in mind, Hope was accused of taking $10,000 from a former employee.
The argument between Kidd and Hope reflects “a web of lies” that also entangles firefighters Brett and Gabriella Dawson (Monica Raymund). Let’s just hope it doesn’t effect Brett’s date with a doctor she meets during an ambo call. Chicago Fire airs Thursdays at 10pm on NBC.
