In the Season 5 premiere of The Blacklist, “Smokey Putnam,” Red (James Spader) is determined to turn his criminal empire around. He enlists Liz (Megan Boone) to help him earn cash and deliver a new Blacklister (Joe “Smokey” Putnum, who’s portrayed by Michael Aronov) to the Task Force. The plot involves capturing a woman named Hawkins.
