The second week of Live Shows on America’s Got Talent, Season 12, didn’t go as planned. During the Tuesday, August 22 episode, two major technical problems occurred. The first problem affected Light Balance, the high-tech LED dance act. Instead of having the troupe perform in front of a live audience, AGT showed their filmed dress rehearsal, which was great but clearly the members of Light Balance were disappointed with the missed opportunity. The second technical glitch interrupted the act of escape artist Demian Aditya. After escaping from a suspended coffin held by a rope that was being burned by fire, the coffin was supposed to drop into the fire but it didn’t — making Demian’s reappearance less dramatic. AGT host Tyra Banks announced during the broadcast that the technical problems were not the fault of the contestants, but will they influence America’s votes anyway?
