On The $100,000 Pyramid, host Michael Strahan will feel right at home when the former NFL player (Giants, 1993-2007) welcomes NFL players Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) and Brandon Marshall (New York Giants) on stage. After Newton and Marshall face-off, The New York Jets’ Eric Decker competes against U.S Olympian Apolo Ohno.
[Left: Ohno is also the author of the memoir Zero Regrets]
Ohno, 35, is a retired short track speed skating competitor who won eight medals at the 2002 Winter Olympics (2 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals). He became interested in the sport after watching the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer. After retiring from the sport, he competed on Dancing with the Stars (Season 4, 2007) with Julianne Hough and won the Mirror Ball Trophy. Ohno has appeared on several TV shows since including Hawaii Five-0, The Biggest Loser, and Hollywood Game Night, among others. The $100,000 Pyramid airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
