On the Teen Mom OG episode ‘Love in La La Land,’ while newlyweds Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney go to marriage counseling, Amber Portwood visits her ex Gary Shirley who is trying to surprise their 8-year-old daughter Leah with a new house. Gary has been telling Leah that he’s remodeling when in fact he’s moving all their belongings to a new home on five acres.
When Amber asks Gary how he’s going to take care of all that land, he says he’s going to have to buy a lawn mower for it. When Amber tells him he’s “going to fry in the sun,” he says, “I have a cowboy hat. It covers my ears and everything.” When Amber’s fiance Matt Baier asks in disbelief, “You have a cowboy hat?” Gary replies with a smile, “I’ll get one.” Gary also mentions that “We’ve ordered 90 chickens already.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
