Rumors are rampant that LeBron James wouldn’t mind living in his LA mansion full time. The King James castle in LA isn’t too far from the Staples Center and James, already deeply involved in the entertainment business, is a natural fit for Hollywood — a next-gen Kobe. But leave Cleveland? Sure, James has made good on his promise to deliver a title to Believeland, but there is no doubt the competitor in James wants to see if he can get to the mountain top once more. But where?
The Lakers seem too far away for James to do what he routinely does in the Eastern Conference — lead whatever team he’s on to the Finals. (7 streight now.) So if James were to leave Cleveland for the more difficult West Coast, it seems in character for him to want to win one more in Cleveland first — with his handpicked coach Tyronn Lue. James other rumored destination, however, the LA Clippers, seem a lot closer than the Lakers personnel-wise to being a contender. Some in-the-know parties think that if James could claim two titles in Cleveland, he’d have no trouble bolting. So as unlikely as a 2017 comeback is, Clippers fans have got to be rooting for the King.
