The TLC show My 600-lb Life featured 42-year-old truck driver Chad Dean when he weighed 700 lbs. After having the gastric bypass surgery, Chad lost more than 370 pounds. Chad now qualifies for skin removal surgery but his insurance doesn’t cover the procedure and the married father of two can’t afford it so he started a GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,000. In five months, he raised half ($2510).

Chad has been keeping family and friends updated on his health and progress on Facebook where he said he was going to try to return to work on Friday, April 28. He also mentioned getting a 2018 truck. Life is good and getting better for Chad. My 600-lb Life airs Wednesdays at 8pm on TLC.
