Displaying a sense of humor that has disappeared from political discourse to the south of him, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to Matthew Perry‘s fight tale over the weekend. Last week Perry regaled Jimmy Kimmel with a regrettable story — at least he says he regrets it — of “beating up” Trudeau in grade school. (Perry said he had the help of a friend and did it out of “pure jealousy.”)
I’ve been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn’t wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?

The Six Degrees of Separation aspect of the story titillated — OMG, one of the Friends when to school with the Prime Minister? But after thinking about it, Trudeau decided good-naturedly that he isn’t too pleased with the erstwhile Chandler Bing’s one-upmanship. Trudeau, who has become a heartthrob as well as a head of state, would consider a rematch. He showed his instinctive political feel by the way he couched his response. Not only would he have a go at Chandler, Trudeau would bing him for the rest of us.
