Felicia Temple is one of the more memorable artists on Season 12 of The Voice. After the 28-year-old nurse from Teaneck, New Jersey wowed the coaches with her rendition of Etta James’ “All I Could Do Was Cry” (everyone but Adam Levine turned around), she mentioned that she’s known as “Felicia Keys” because she sang so many Alicia Keys songs at talent shows. The 28-year-old Temple comes from a musical family.

Felicia Temple’s father is Diamond Temple who (with his brother Rob Da’ Noize Temple) has been touring with the legendary hip-hop band the Sugarhill Gang (“Rapper’s Delight”) as a vocalist and keyboardist for decades. (Rapper Wonder Mike of Sugarhill Gang is their cousin.) Now 50, Diamond is a proud father. Check out the video he posted on Facebook below (he’s on keyboards). The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
