Sen. Elizabeth Warren is banking on an old truism — that “karma has everybody’s address.” While there is still no smoking kalashnikoff tying Donald Trump or any of his team to illegal activities — blatant collusion, that is — with Russia to influence the election, Warren believes that it’s only a matter of time. She warns the GOP that a reckoning is coming and that they should “get on the right side before it’s too late.”
The truth will come out, @GOP. Get on the right side of history before it’s too late.

Two facts are seemingly beyond dispute, as much as facts can be these days. First, Russia did attempt to interfere in the American election and had some success in doing so. (This is the consensus conclusion of American intelligence agencies.) Second, people who were working for Trump’s election — like AG Jeff Sessions and former NSA chief Michael Flynn — had unusual contact with Russian diplomats during the campaign. Warren would seem to have at least as much evidence for her claim that the “truth will come out” as Trump had for his “wiretap” claims. The FBI has admitted it is investigating the collusion charge. What’s harder to know is — short of hard-to-prove criminal collusion — what level of cooperation between Russia and the Trump team Americans will tolerate, especially a Trump base that seems capable of overlooking anything that benefits their hero. John McCain type Republicans won’t tolerate any, but are there many of him left?
