In the This Is Us episode ‘Memphis,’ dying William (Ron Cephas Jones) doesn’t have much time left. He’d like to show his son Randall (Sterling K. Brown) where he spent a good chunk of his life – in Memphis. Father and son take a sentimental road trip. While in Memphis, William gets to play on stage one more time. While reminiscing about William’s past, viewers get a glimpse of William’s mother, Dorothy Hill.
Dorothy is portrayed by Amanda Warren. She’s known for her roles on Jessica Jones (Dr. Gallo), The Leftovers (Lucy Warburton), The Closer (DDA Claire Baldwin), and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Haydon), among others. Warren will appear next on Taken in April (Marie Salt) and House of Cards in May (Jenna Perkins). This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
