In the Lifetime movie Under the Bed is sadly inspired by true events. The protagonist is Callie Monroe, a young beautiful woman who’s trying to get over a broken romance. While she joins a website to meet new people, she’s befriended by a man (Pat Healy) who believes “we knew right away we were meant for each other.” Turns out he’s a stalker and is camping out under her bed. He videotapes Callie while she sleeps, among other things.
Callie is portrayed by Hannah New. She is known for her roles on the Starz TV series Black Sails (Eleanor Guthrie) and in the 2014 film Maleficent (as Princess Leila) with Angelina Jolie. Under the Bed premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, January 7 at 8pm.
