In The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode ‘It’s Expensive to Be Me’, after hosting Game Night at her house, Kyle Richards has lunch with Lisa Rinna and Eden Sassoon. Before lunch, Lisa primed Eden about Kyle’s sister Kim Richards, who is a recovering alcoholic. Rinna says Kim is “probably mostly sober right now” and that Kyle is her “enabler.”

At lunch, Eden prods Kyle about her mother Kathleen who passed away 14 years ago from breast cancer. Eden asks, “Where did the drinking come from in your family?” When Kyle struggles to answer, Eden asks, “Was your mom a drinker?” Kyle says, “She was not an alcoholic.” Eden goes on to say that Kim reminds her of her sister Catya who died of an overdose at the age of 33 (the same year Kyle’s mother died, in 2002). P.S. Kim and Catya knew each other. They were both in the 1985 movie Tuff Tuff with James Spader and Robert Downey, Jr. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
