It’s down to the Top 8 on Season 11 of The Voice. While Adam Levine is in the lead having 3 artists left – Brendan Fletcher, Billy Gilman, and Josh Gallagher – Blake Shelton is still in it with his one and only contender Sundance Head. During rehearsals, Sundance Head made Blake Shelton crack up when he said, “I’m gonna tell wardrobe to get me a gown like James Brown wore in the Blues Brothers.” He added, “That’ll be badass, wouldn’t it?” Sundance Head imitates Brown stomping on the stage.

The scene Sundance Head is referring to is below. It’s one of the most dynamic musical productions included in the 1980 film and there are a lot of them including one with Miss Aretha Franklin. Brown plays a gospel preacher who breaks out into “The Old Landmark.” If Sundance Head can tap an ounce of James Brown’s energy, he just might win. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
