Solemates are plastic accessories that slide over the bottoms of high heels to prevent the heels from sinking into the grass or getting stuck in cobblestone. The idea came from two New Yorkers who hate to ruin their shoes. They’re pitching the business on Shark Tank on October 14. While it’s fun to see Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary slip on some heels to check out the merchandise, the needle on the record skips when they talk price. “I just turned your volume off,” says Mr. Wonderful. Which is too bad because Solemates is the perfect product for the wedding industry which O’Leary likes to invest in — including the wedding registry Honeyfund.
One pair of Solemates sells for $12. They’re also available on Amazon, too. P.S. The Solemates Bridal Set (a pack of 12 sets) sells for $120. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
