The real estate reality TV show Million Dollar Listing is dedicating three episodes to the wedding of Ryan Serhant and his fiancée Emilia Bechrakis. The first episode, “It’s All Greek to Me,” captures Ryan and Emilia preparing for their nuptials. While they agreed to plan the wedding on their own, they might reconsider. They know they’re getting married in four months in Corfu, Greece (Emilia’s family is in Greece), but they don’t know exactly where yet and they don’t exactly have a list yet.
In one scene, Ryan and Emilia sit down with her father. He tells Ryan he’s always wanted his daughter’s husband to have 3 qualities: 1. To be Handsome. 2. To be educated. 3. And to Greek. “Two out of three is not bad but it’s not perfect.” And then the father brings up religion. The family is Greek Orthodox. “It’s very important to us,” says Emilia’s father. Ryan, who was raised Protestant but doesn’t consider himself religious, replies, “I don’t know really what to say.” Million Dollar Listing airs Thursdays at 9pm on Bravo.
