In the Flipping Out episode ‘I Know What You Did Last Saturday,’ Jeff Lewis is back from Chicago and with an increase in clients, he’s feeling very generous. He pulls out all the stops to celebrate his housekeeper Zoila Chavez’s birthday. He takes her out to a nice dinner at Valley Inn. With his dirty martini (with blue cheese olives), he raises his glass makes a toast. “To the nicest person I know,” Jeff starts. “Thank you for being such a dedicated and loyal friend,” he continues. Jeff switches back to his normal sarcastic self after the dinner party. When he mentions that he meet Zoila in 2000, he says: “I want to say that time has flown by, and that it feels like yesterday but no, it feels like 16 years.”
Luckily, Jenni Pulos is there to soften the blow. “I don’t look at Zoila and Jeff as housekeeper and boss – I look at it as mother and son.” She adds, “I know that sounds weird but I think she’s walked him through so much and vice versa.” Flipping Out airs Thursdays at 9pm on Bravo.
