Former presidential candidate and Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is addressing the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. He’s in town to support Donald Trump and to promote his documentary film, The First American. Hours prior to Gingrich’s televised speech, he and his wife Callista Gingrich were at the Tower City Cinemas on West Huron Road to introduce the film to the audience. (It was a free public screening, not limited to convention attendees.)
The First American, produced by Gingrich Productions, tells the life story of George Washington and includes interviews with historians including Douglas Brinkley, Joseph Ellis, and Walter Isaacson, among others. The trailer is below.
