2016 is proving to be a great year for actress Emily Blunt. She’s pregnant with her second child with husband John Krasinski and she landed the role of Mary Poppins in the forthcoming remake Mary Poppins Returns — with Julie Andrews’ blessing. But before she slips into her magical nanny costume, Blunt will spend a lot of time with her 2-year-old daughter Hazel, and in the studio.
Blunt is currently filming three animated films including Animal Crackers with husband. Krasinksi plays her husband Owen who turns into a bear and Blunt plays his purple-haired wife Zoe. (Sir Ian McKellen plays the bad guy Uncle Horatio). Blunt will also star in Hasbro’s My Little Pony: The Movie (with Liev Schreiber), and Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes (Blunt is Juliet; James McAvoy is Gnomeo; Johnny Depp is Sherlock Gnomes), which will be out in 2018.
