Well played, Pornhub, well played. The adult website has pulled off an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank. For all of today the site is now called Cornhub, and its front page contains nothing but, you guessed it, corn videos. With suggestive titles such as “Slob on the Cob” and “Hard Shucking Like You’ve Never Seen!” the site is at last safe for work. Or its front page is anyway.
In another excellent prank, NPR posted a photo on its Facebook page with the headline “Why Doesn’t America Read Anymore?” Clicking on it brings you to a message from the public radio station: “Congratulations, genuine readers, and happy April Fools’ Day! We sometimes get the sense that some people are commenting on NPR stories that they haven’t actually read. If you are reading this, please like this post and do not comment on it. Then let’s see what people have to say about this ‘story.’ Best wishes and have an enjoyable day, Your friends at NPR.” Is this the first time NPR and Pornhub have been in the same news story?
