Abby Celso is the 20-year-old young woman from Rochester, New York who’s competing on Season 10 of The Voice. For her Blind Audition she sang Tori Kelly’s song “Should’ve Been Us” and her deep, rich voice landed her a spot on Team Pharrell. In preparation for the Battle Round with Brian Nhira, she’s rehearsing with Pharrell and mentor Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Before the Battle Round, Celso was interviewed by her local Upstate New York NBC station. When asked by why she chose Pharrell over Adam Levine Celso said, “You have to consider his [Pharrell’s] background…not only as a performer but he creates so many different kinds of music.” Celso added with a smile, “I trusted him.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
