On the Girls episode “Queen for Two Days,” Hannah (Lena Dunham) and her mother Loreen (Becky Ann Baker) spend the weekend at a “Queening” retreat. The idea is to free Loreen’s mind while she tries to figure out what to do with her relationship with husband Tad (Peter Scolari). Meanwhile, in Japan, Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) falls in love with the city of Tokyo while her romance with Yoshi blossoms.
Yoshi is portrayed by Hiro Mizushima. The Japanese-born actor is known for his roles on Tokyo Dogs (Kudo Maruo), Mr. Brain (Hayshida Rinda), Absolute Boyfriend (Soshi Asamoto), Mei-chan’s Butler (Shibata Rihito), Room of King (Jiro mori), and For You in Full Blossom (Minami Nanba), among others. Girls airs Sundays at 10pm on HBO.
