The Victoria’s Secret Swim Special is an hour-long commercial for the lingerie and swimsuit company, Victoria’s Secret. Supermodels sport the brand’s latest swimwear while having fun on the island of St. Barth’s in the French West Indies. One of the famous models is Lily Aldridge.
Aldridge promoted the CBS special on CBS This Morning, where she was asked, what’s different about this special compared to the televised lingerie show? Aldridge explained that the Swim special isn’t on a runway. “This is a behind-the-scenes look at our swim catalog,” Aldridge said. “You get to see us being silly, having fun, and just kinda get to follow us for a day.” She added, “We just want people to see us as humans,” she says. “We’re just regular girls,” which prompted CBS This Morning host Gayle King to kid, “Do those look like regular girls?” King quickly followed the joke by saying with sincerity, “People don’t understand all the work you guys do to do what you do.” The Victoria’s Secret Swim Special airs Wednesday, March 9 at 9pm on CBS.
