He may have a face for radio, but King of All Media Howard Stern isn’t all voice, smarts and indiscretion: he’s also beautiful. At least his hair is, according to a survey that crowns the winner of the Best Men’s Hair Awards. Stern received his first place award live on his show. It was presented by Mike Gilman, founder of Grooming Lounge. Grooming Lounge runs upscale barber shops and spas exclusively for men.
Stern won for the second straight year, despite his recent retirement from weekly appearances on the TV show America’s Got Talent where his hair held its own against the coiffure of his neighboring judge, the incandescent Heidi Klum, and also against Mel B.’s gleaming locks. (The other judge, Howie Mandel, has received little love from Grooming Lounge for his bald pate.) The Best Hair prize is awarded for hair that shows health, versatility, uniqueness, thickness, and — this is where Stern kills it — Hair-To-Face-Ratio. The latter describes “hair that makes the man’s face appear more handsome than it otherwise would.”
