Snickers loves these big stars who live just out of the mainstream spotlight. (They cast Steve Buscemi and Danny Trejo as the Brady Bunch girls, after all.) Dafoe, with his natural menace, striking cheekbones and signature growl, fits the mold perfectly: he’s a star everyone recognizes who also has his serious indie credibility intact. He’s known and unknown — perfect casting.
