Jacob Dillon Tankersley aka “Jake Dillon” of Sand Springs, Oklahoma is hoping to crush it on the 15th and final season of American Idol. He’s been singing since he was little but it was in 2010 when he started writing songs. Dillon was a senior at Charles Page High School when two sophomores Cassidy Rotramel and Hannah Christian died in a car accident. The night of the accident, Dillon was moved to write the song “See You Soon,” which was recorded and played on several local radio stations. Jake sang the song at the memorial service.
Dillon is now 22 years old, and married with two kids. When Dillon isn’t on the job working as an apprentice plumber he serves as the music minister at Cedar Point Church in Claremore. American Idol airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX.
