Dalton Rapattoni is the 19-year-old School of Rock vocal coach from Sunnyvale, Texas who’s competing in the fifteenth and final season of American Idol. At his audition in front of the three celebrity judges, Jennifer Lopez commented “you’re so cute.” She liked the purple flowers on Rapattoni’s black combat boots, too. Rapattoni rocks a Green Day look but surprised the judges by singing a song from the musical The Phantom of the Opera. Keith Urban said he’s looking for someone who has an “artistic contribution to make” to win this year and Rapattoni delivered.
