The 5-1 Stanford Cardinal plays a power game that was too big for Washington this weekend, making a 31-14 victory look even easier than it sounds. With a win next week at Washington State, the Cardinal will likely own the Pac-12 North and quite possibly their own destiny. The leap from No. 8 to No. 3 or 4 isn’t a Michael Jordan-level vertical at this time of year for the Cardinal — they could certainly be in the College Football Playoff. (Isn’t Condoleeza Rice, former Stanford provost, still on the committee that decides the teams? Will the former Secretary of State need to recuse herself because of Stanford bias?)
Christian McCaffrey, who has three of the Division 1’s eight 300-yard (all-purpose) games this year, expresses the unstoppable feeling this Cardinal team embodies and embraces in the tweet below:

And as a result, check out what happens when tacklers try their best against this ferocious Cardinal formation, and captain (and future Doctor) Joshua Garnett, No. 51.
