Former ‘World’s Fattest Man’ Paul Mason has lost more than 650 pounds since having bariatric surgery in 2010. He once tipped the scales at 980 pounds. After his appearance on the TLC special, World’s Fattest Man, Mason was contacted by a viewer, a pretty American woman named Rebecca Mountain. An online friendship turned romantic. Now Mason and Mountain are engaged to be married, and live together at Mountain’s home in Orange, Massachusetts.

Mountain wrote about their relationship in Cosmopolitan. She often gets asked about their love life, to which she explains: “Now, I worry more about Paul’s physical abilities rather than his appearance. I don’t think looks matter. I’m sexually attracted to Paul. We’re living together and engaged, and we share intimacy despite Paul’s physical limitations.” TLC will reshow the 2010 documentary World’s Fattest Man on September 17 at 8pm, and will follow it with a 2015 update, which will include footage of Mason with his fiance Rebecca living in Massachusetts together.
