Think It Up is a one-hour TV special that will air simultaneously on four major networks CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX on September 11 at 8pm. Celebrities including Stephen Colbert, Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey and Gwyneth Paltow, among others, will perform sketches and music performances from the Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica Airport in California. The show is designed to promote projects “to improve the learning experience in America.”
[How To Donate To ‘Think It Up’]
The idea is the brainchild of the national educational initiative Think It Up, which invites middle school and high school students to work with their teachers to develop projects that both draw on their passions and help them pursue their educational goals. In collaboration with DonorsChoose.org, the Think It Up projects will be crowdfunded. Think It Up is an initiative of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) which was created in 1942 by Samuel Goldwyn, Humphrey Bogart, the Warner brothers and other Hollywood leaders.
