Miss America 2015 Kira Kazantsev is about to hand over her crown at the 2016 Miss America Competition in Atlanta City. The former Miss New York graced the pages of Harper’s Bazaar for one of her last interviews as the title-holder. When asked about her typical day, Kazantsev says she “usually wakes up in a panic…being Miss America comes with a lot of pressure so I’m constantly on high alert.”

After checking her email, she picks out her outfit for the day from a collection provided by Joseph Ribkoff. Kazantsev reports that on “any given Miss America day, my schedule can range from two to nine events.” When her day is over she likes to watch TV (The Good Wife, Revenge) and fall asleep by 1am. The 2016 Miss America Competition will broadcast live on September 13 at 8pm on ABC.
