Kam Chancellor isn’t rusty, or has no fear that he is, anyway. “I’m a fearless man,” he said. Nope, no rust after a long holdout for Chancellor who returns to strong safety for the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks have lost their first two games of the 2015 season, games that Chancellor watched on TV, which was “very hard because — not taking anything away from anybody else — but I knew I could make a difference.” The Seahawks won just three out of their first six games last season too, and went to the Super Bowl.
Chancellor didn’t get a new deal from the Seahawks, despite the hardball tactics. He returns for week 3 saying he’ll revisit his contract situation after the season. The Seahawks made no mention of joining him on that visit. Chancellor is in the middle of a four-year, $28 million deal. ESPN reports that Chancellor’s two-game holdout cost him “two game checks of $267,647.”
