Triple threat Kelli O’Hara is starring in the Broadway revival of “The King and I” at Lincoln Center. For her role as Anna Leonowens, O’Hara has been nominated for a Tony Award (her sixth!) She will perform live at the televised Tony Awards ceremony on June 7 at 8pm on CBS.
O’Hara is best known for her roles in The Light in the Piazza, The Bridges of Madison Country, Nice Work If You Can Get It, South Pacific, and The Pajama Game. Since O’Hara starred in The Light in the Piazza, she’s been nominated for a Tony Award for every subsequent role she has played on Broadway. The 39-year-old is also the mother of a five-year-old son, Owen, and a 20-month-old girl Charlotte. Fun facts: O’Hara has the bad habit of cracking her knuckles and she admits to being able to do “The Worm.”
