Jerry Seinfeld is like a hilarious one-man Uber. He comes and picks you up — if you’re hilariously funny, that is. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Carrey and Stephen Colbert are just a few of the luminaries Jerry takes for a ride in the new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee which premieres June 3 at 11:30 PM ET on Crackle.
This season the cars are as spectacular as the conversation. Aston Martin DB5 for Julia-Louis Dreyfus, because who’s more like James Bond? Jim Carrey gets the Lamborghini Countach, worth the trip just to hear Carrey say “Countach!” Everything about this latest Seinfeld project just sparkles. Though a great comment by Rilee DeClue tells a funny truth: if Jerry weren’t in the show he’d probably put it in his act. Read this in Seinfeld voice: “what’s the deal with Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee? Do they have to flash to the coffee scenes so often? Do we really need to be reminded every few seconds that they are getting coffee? It’s the name of the show for goodness sake. People getting coffee, it’s not that difficult to understand people!”
