Wall Street may have Masters of the Universe, but even one of those is no match for a real chess master. Sorry, make that Grandmaster. That’s why Harvard grad and Wall Street wizard J. Christopher Flowers stood no chance against 24-year-old Magnus Carlsen, even with Carlsen wearing a blindfold and playing two other players simultaneously. (Carlsen, a Norwegian, is also a hoops fan — his latest tweet celebrated the birthday of former Detroit Piston and “NBA legend Bill Laimbeer”!) Carlsen once checkmated Microsoft founder Bill Gates in 9 moves.
